Default Rear Swaybar Links Rubbing

I installed my lift last week and when I went for the initial test drive, I didn't get very far because of the new rear swaybar links were rubbing the wheels. The links are from SkyJacker and the wheels in question are still the stock setup.

The mfg's install sheet was pretty lacking, so I mostly used the write-ups from here. When I saw the problem, I searched thru the forum write-ups and the mfg's instructions and didn't see anything other than SJ said to use the "supplied" hardware and I used the OEM hardware. There is a definite difference in the OEM bolt and the SJ bolt, but I haven't tried replacing it yet.

I have also searched the forum for this issue but didn't really find anything other than a quick mention of possible interference with longer links and OEM backspacing. I kind of guessed that will be fixed when I put on the new rims.

However, I would like confirmation that this will be corrected by using a different backspacing. In my case, it will be a 15x8 wheel with 3.5" backspacing.

Secondly, is it OK to mount the links to the inside? The original setup has the links mounted to the outside of the mounting location.

If it matters, here is the lift setup:
SkyJacker Coils, bump stops, lower arms - front and rear
SkyJacker 3/4" front spacer
Full Traction adjustable track bars - front and rear
Tera Flex shocks for 3-5 inch lifts

Yes, your rubbing will no longer be a problem if you get new wheels with 3.5" of back spacing. As far as installing the links on the inside goes, yes, you should be able to do this as well so long as the link ends aren't so big that they that the axle mounts prevent you from installing them. Most aftermarket links should work just fine but I have seen a few where it is a problem to do this.

I picked up my wheels last night and was able to install the rear tires. A visual inspection leads me to believe that the new backspacing gives plenty of clearence.

Also, as WOL pointed out - I think my setup would not work well mounting the links to the inside. It would be a little to close to the coils and axle mounts as Eddie warned. The new backspacing should be all I need.

Or course another option is spacers, but I don't think I am going to need them with the aftermarket wheels. But as Steve&2jc's points out - get them in advance if you are keeping the stock wheels.
