Default Skyjacker 6-7in lift???

hey everyone new guy here i dont even have my jeep yet but im in the army and am going to be purchasing a brand new rubi when i get home from base in december but i have been doing ALOT of research on the wrangler and wanted one since my aunts when i was 6 and being from toledo where they make the wrangler i think its cool that i can take a piece of home wherever i get stationed anyways that leads to my question.....

i'v been told to lift the jk more then 4in you have to do alot more then just the kit like extend brake lines mess with steering and even heard of having to get different driveshaft.....is there any truth to that and if so how much more would all that cost? Keep in mind this is the skyjacker 6-7in long arm series lift kit so anyone running this kit i would appreciate feedback.

One of the guys in my club is running 37s on a 4" lift and flat fenders, and he often says that he should have stuck with a 3" lift.

Skyjacker is not my favorite brand. TeraFlex, Full Traction, Rock Krawler all better brands for long arm kits in my book. Even Clayton

For a 6-7 inch lift, the tires you would need to fill the void would be so huge, you may need to do some serious axle work as well.

What size tires are you looking to run? That is really where you should start and let the good people of JK Forum provide advice from there! The JK world is way different than the TJ/LJ/YJ world ever was. You get alot more for alot less with a JK!

2 dr or 4 dr? I have a 2dr and have a 4.5" lift. Often times wish I hadnt gone so high. Am currently running 37s. Had to trim the pinch seams, replaced the drive shafts, regeared, and flip drag link kit is next. Also need to beef oup the axles. I just dont see a need for a lift that high, even on a 4dr. But it's just an opinion. Trailmaster has some great lifts and are excellent quality with awesome customer service.

I'm running a rock krawler 3.5 inch with a 1.25 inch body lift on a 2007 4 door rubi, and could easily fit 40 inch tires on it with flat fenders. 37s give me a perfect blend of tire meat and flex though.

what is the minimum lift needed for 37s? I keep reading that 35's fit fine on a 2.5-3 inch lift, can 37's make it on 3 inch lift?

If you really wanted to you could clear 37's with flat fenders or a stock chop and a 1 inch body lift and stock suspension if you so desired it would be a little tight, dont forget to trim the rear pinch seam. 3" lift and trimming the rear pinch seem and taking care of the flares you should be fine. I ended up with the Fabtech 5" kit due to a great deal I couldn't pass up and I have tons and tons of space and have even thought about switchin out my coils to a 3.5" or 4" lift coil. Wheel wells on the JK are very spacious and allow for minimal lift for big tire. Planman has been deemed the king of low lift big tires. Look him up on the forum. I think he is running 2.5" or 3" lift and 40's. <--dont quote me on that, thats off the top of my head.
