Default Rear brake line mod?????? Your thoughts

Last year while off roading at Rausch another forum member had his passanger rear brake line severed by the sway bar links. What a mess. When we got home I noticed that my Brake line was also bent from the sway bar link bolt hitting it. I didn't know that this is a common problem. The first thing I did was make sure my axel was still centered. It was. I have braded extended brake lines not stock with a drop bracket.
I am considering a modification that would prevent this from happening and I am looking for your 2 cents.
I am thinking about moving the brake line connection from the front of the frame rail and mounting it to the inside of the frame rail like they used to be on the TJ's.
Has anyone ever done this? Do you think it could cause issues? What do you think.

Sorry I don't have pics available at he moment. But if you check out your JK rear brake lines they run on the outside of the frame. It is very common for the rear sway bar bolts to hit those lines when the rear flexes. It can happen on either side but is more common on the passanger.

Mine snagged the L/R. That one was fun to replace, at least the R/R is a 2 piece. No luck w/the L/R, 1 piece front to rear. Blaming mine on the drop bracket extensions dropping the line lower & in the range of the swaybar links. No issue yet w/the line back at stock location & extended lines.
