Front Euro Light Guards Install Help...
I know this should be a simple install, but...
I went to install my SilverStars yesterday and then tried to install the Rugged Ridge Front Euro Light Guards and the fit/alignment was a little off as far as the tabs go
. The top two tabs fit flush no problem, but the bottom two did not fit/line up into the "assemble tabs" per the instructions
. Also, the Euro Guard retainer ring was fully set on the stock headlamps, so everything should have lined up correctly. Has anyone else run into this problem? I attached a pic below for reference on the location of the assemble tabs. Any help/tips is greatly appreciated.
I found this post on this forum, so it's not looking too good as far as fitment goes...

Rugged Ridge Front Headlight Guards...It had terrible fit issues...I couldn't get them installed and actually broke one of the guards while attempting to coax it in place.

i read that other post regarding bad fit, but i think they had a different issue. seems they were too tight, not a problem with the tabs lining up. all i can add is make sure you are not messing up left & right.

Ok, got my Rugged Ridge Euro Headlight guards and installed them. Took about 30 mins. I managed not to break anything like Fzy, but they're really, really tight. 15 of my 30 min install was spent trying to yank the first one off. I pulled the whole light assembly out figuring it would be easiest to do it like this (also removed grill). Well, it made it easier to get on, however I managed not to get everything lined up correctly and had to yank it off, being careful not to yank off the bars. They're welded in place, but it doesn't look real strong, and not especially clean. Also of note, the screw holes on them, do NOT line up exactly with the factory holes/grooves. They fit, but not perfectly. The difference is minute and anyone just looking at the Jeep wouldn't notice, but putting them on you notice.
Overall, I like how they look, but they need to be a tiny bit bigger to fit better and they really need to fix the mounting points so they go into the factory grooves flush.
