Default 3.5" Lift = What steering set up???

Is an adjustable front trackbar good enough for a 3.5" lift or will the un-road manners be much better with a draglink flip and axle mounted trackbar bracket?

I want to do it right the first time but I don't want to drop $300 on a flip kit if I would be perfectly happy with an adjustable trackbar.

Well I was in the same boat as you are, and I just took care of it. After dealing with the bump steer with just a dropped pitman arm and adjustable track bar for awhile, I wanted to hone in the front end to a stock like feel if not better. Don't get me wrong, it was totally drivable and you can deal with it for awhile but you might as well flip the drag link and upgrade tie rod and drag link. Like I said, I just did this and it is an amazing difference! The feel is stiff and now my steering wheel doesn't have the shimmy back and forthwhen I hit a bump. My angles are also now as close to perfect as I am going to get with the flip and stock pitman arm.

Good luck in whatever you decide! The front end was my nemesis LoL

I have a 3" lift and just the track bar; along with LCAs and the handling is just fine. No need for a flip here. No bumpsteer.

I have a 3.5 and adjustable with a drop pitman arm and it does ok. I do get a little bump steer though.

Do it right 1 time

I have a TF 3" and was running JKS TB. Drove great then started getting bump steer worse and worse

Added front LCAs and made it better but still had bump steer

Added the AEV highsteer (drag link flip and TB bracket to raise TB) it drives amazing now night and day difference.

I would:

TB bracket
Drag link flip
Front LCAs
Adj trackbar

3.5" actual? Or 3.5" coils that gave 4.5"?
At 3.5, you'll be ok with just an adjustable. Over 4", drive it and see what you think, but you may end up with a flip.

No trackbar relocation, just a drop pitman? That is probably where your bumpsteer is coming from. Add a bracket or remove the pitman.

Watch this vid and compare your angles
