Default Tire question...

I know the pictures below are kind of hard to see but i am trying to figure out why my front left tire would be wearing down in random points but not evenly. If you look at the tread it is in some places almost 1/8 - 3/16 difference.

All three others are wearing evening with the same air pressure. but the front left looks like someone knawed at it.

I am going to switch the spare out but wasnt sure if this might be something i did wrong or am doing wrong...any opinions/advice would be great

Lack of proper rotation and balance are THE sources for cupping. Alignment tech for 15 years

Cupping occurs for 3 reasons for the most part:

#1 - Rotate your tires every 3000 miles ( this is more true for larger tires )
#2 - Keep your vehicle aligned ( correctly that is ), look for a shop with a newer alignment machine
#3 - Bad shocks

If you're doing the above steps and are still cupping (which you most certainly are) then I am not sure how to help you, my knowledge stops there =(

tomorrow we will see what my dealership has to say about it but for now, i put the spare on and wow what a difference. I feel like i learn something new everyday with the Jeep. I aired up the spare and took her out up to 45mph. still seeing a vibration from the front left. Thanks for all the idea and what to look for. I will post tomorrow after the dealership has their say in it...

all fixed and back in buisness!!!...apparently i threw a weight that was on the inside (F ing speed bumps on base) and go figure the spare was slightly out of kilter. Dealer did everything for free even after telling me i was over my 12k warranty for tires. Thanks for all the help in diagnostics.
