Can I do this??
Wanting a little extra height on the jeep (yes I read all the stickies
)....and with my first son due in 6 weeks, I don't want to drop a lot of coin on a lift kit right now. I am wondering if I replace my TF 2.5 BB with OME HD Springs, should this give me an inch or two? Can I just add the springs and get away with it for a while, or do I need LCA's and all that jazz? I know the IDEAL way to go is to get the entire kit, but in the interim can I add the OME springs and get some lift on my jeep that way? Looking for the 3"-3.5" lift range.
Thanks for any advice!!

I assume you mean just springs even though mentioned shocks. You can do this, but I wouldn't take it off road without extending the brakelines and getting longer shocks. It will drive pretty crappy on the street without trackbars or LCA's, but do-able. You'll want to keep an eye on your front driveshaft also.

The OME HD's will put you a bit over 3", depending on weight. 2doors using 4door coils will see around 4".
You might possibly see an inch, but nowhere close to 2. (unless your stock coils are worn and sagging a bunch?
And yes, you can run the coils with no other components. You axles will be offcenter and the handling will be flighty, but you can live with it until you add components.
