285/70/17?

Was wondering if I could go 285/70/17s without having to upgrade ball joints, tie rods, etc:

Are you planning you mount them on stock rims or custom rims? If custom rims what rim width and offset or backspacing are you going to get? I'm looking at the same tire size.

You are right of course, I was just hoping rubbing would not be an issue but suspected it would be.

Yeah I am going with the Pro Comp 7005s, figured it would wear em down a bit quicker, good to know that they don't need to be replaced just yet though.
