Talking What is easiest way to recalibrate speedometer

I'm putting a 2.5" lift with 33/12.5/17s on a 2010 unlimited. Other than the springs and shocks that come with the lift, will I need anything else, and what surprises if any should I expect? It will not be going off road, also what is the best way to correct the speedometer, I was told if I use a super chip it could possibly void the warranty if the dealer knows it was used? Thanks!!!

Default superchip or....

The Superchip will work, but it will be locked to your Jeep. Most programmers (not cheap!) will reset tire size to correct the speedo. If you just want to reset your tire size, which will recalibrate the speedo you could go with the Aeroforce, Interceptor gauge. You can also use it to monitor things like tranny temp, voltage, and more. PM me if you have more questions.

AEV Procal will reset the speedo and get you what you need.

Cheapest option is to go through a dealership. I've been quoted $55 to have it done.

Check with your dealer to verify, but last I had heard, stock 32's were the tallest they could calibrate for. Even if they can calibrate for taller tires, you would be better off buying your own.

Your options are a programmer like the ProCal, or a more expensive tuner like Superchips/Hypertech/Diablo/etc.

Do some reading and see which one has the extra features that you want/need.

That's cheap, I was quoted 109.00 at a local dealer.

i bought my jk used with sahra take offs on it...32 approx. i bought 35 km2's i wanted to recalibrate and the previous stealership told me $90. recently our local family owned chevy dealer bought them out and i went to them and asked what they could do. they are very mod friendly. they told me it would be $30 but they could only reprogram from 29 stock to the 32...so they did some mth for me and told me that now when i drive i just need to think 9% in my head...so round to 10. my warranty didnt get affected because they reprogrammed for me...and i just have to do math while driving. 10% slower than speed is an easy calc.

You get a buddy to drive along side and signal you when he hits 55. then look at your speedo and check the difference. then next time you drive just remember to add or subtract the difference. That's pretty cheap.
