Default Offroading - Opinions on what size lift is overall best for offroading

Basically what this breaks down to is that is there a lift that is to much for Offroading? And if there is a so called "perfect" or optimal lift size for wheelin then what would it be? I know a lot of these responses could be and most likely will be opinion based but state them and why. Thanks!!

Completely depends on your local wheeling environment and personal wants/needs and your budget. No such thing as a perfect lift that would suit every person in all types of terrain.

Give some info on the type of terrain you want to go through and whether you want to just run over everything, or are willing to use a little finesse and pick your lines.

Well I know terrain and what you are wheeling on makes things different, I guess I'm leaning towards a rock crawler. I'm not much of a person who likes to go do donuts in the mud. I just know that the higher the lift, the higher the center of gravity.

I'm just wondering what your opinions are on the size of lift of two different circumstances.
1 - taking your time and choosing good lines.
2 - the whole attitude of wanting to mow over everything.

I know 2 isn't very friendly on the jeep but like I said, I'm just wondering what people think and why.
