Default full traction 3"eco lift vs TeraFlex JK 2-door 2.5" Lift Kit, W/Shocks

there both with in the same price range, both eco/bb, and all look to have the same parts except shocks. Im wondering for someone who does light off roading but going to be spending more time on the street which lift is best? Also, future plan is to run a 34" to 35" tire. I am still very new to the jk community and all this lingo about off roading and suspension parts are very foreign to me the way im trying to do this lift is that i dont mind over building/ paying more for something that i might never use to it fullest but better be safe than sorry. i just need pro's and cons to each one or recommendations to something that will better suit me.

If there any other aspects that i might have missed in thinking about a lift please do tell me so that i can think and make a decision that better may suit me.

We just installed the 3"FT eco lift on a members rig (jsears) recently. A nice lift.
I have the TF 2.5" coil lift w/ shock extenders...
I can tell you that when we completed his lift and drove it around, the 3"FT lift next to my TF lift was just as tall. now here is the clincher, the FT lift was on 31.6 tires while the TF lift had 35' Cooper STT's on. So basically the 3"FT lift seems to be "almost" TWO inches taller. I guess after the FT lift is broken in I;m sure it will be 1.5" taller just by looking at two coil differences.
On the other hand if you don't mind being shorter, the TF coils I'm assuming will ride softer though.

On my JKU I just installed the Full Traction 3" economy lift and also added a JKS rear Track Bar. It's been about 2 weeks and I love the lift. The install was easy and Full Traction's instructions were pretty spot on. So far I love the lift, around town it is a smooth ride with the OME Long Travel shocks as well. We forgot to take before and after measurements of the install but we did have a comparison rig.

In the photos you will see my Jeep with the FT 3" economy lift and rolling on 31's vs his JKU which has the TF 2.5" and 35's. My Jeep was sitting pretty much level with his at a bumper to bumper comparison.

In the end I decided I had enough room to clear 37's with the FT economy lift.

lol lucky me right? lol but i dont ever plan to go 37" tires in the future. i just want a decent lift that will give me into the tire rang i want but something i can get my 2 1/2 yr old son in and out easily. ( lol my family a little on the short shide :/) but the thing i dont want is to have this big lift and have tires that look like..... you got a big lift but your running a spar tire on the rig... im not sure if a .5" differance is going to be that big of a differance to change my mind on. but sense you guys have the lifts im looking at so far which one in honest opinion think is better suited for my needs?

I am just waiting for a bunch of pictures of our Jeep together! I am sure yours would feel like a sports car. I've noticed some power loss with the 37's but its really not that bad. In town I have been driving with OD on and its been fine. Once I hit the freeway I usually turn it off just to get some extra power. I do need to lower my tire pressure a bit though.

Hitman, here is the background for me and my Jeep. It is my daily driver, I probably drive 20-30 miles total round trip a day. So far I've only done some snow trips and forest service roads with the FT lift. Nothing too serious. I know Outdoors has taken his TF lift out to some more serious trails and it's performed great for him. Either product will work great for you reading your description.

also if i go with the 3" i would be adding shocks/ if not shortly after the install. also, future plans if it happens i plan to do the full kit of this eco/bb, i dislike having to spend twice for the same thing :/ if that make sense in the jk world or is it go big or go home thing?

Ooops, time out.. just to be clear jsears has the 3" FT coil lift, and I have the 2.5" TF coil lift w/ shock adapters. Are you looking at the spacer 3" FT lift? If so my personal opininon would be for spacer lifts to go no higher 2.5" no matter where you get it. That's just me.

With the FT lift you will need to buy new shocks, but in the TF lift you can buy shock extension adapters.

But after 30k miles on my Jeep my stock shocks were shot. So since you are going to be swapping out springs either way I would do shocks then too.
