Default Riddler capacity

What quantity of gear oil is needed for filling the D44 front and rear differentials with Riddler covers? My Rubi has 3,5"lift.

Be careful with your amounts. I bought 5 quarts originally and did 2.25 for the rear and 2 for the front. I used the instructions on the Project JK site as I was following the Solid cover write up. The write up said add 2 quarts for the front. That resulted in gear oil coming out of my breather tubes and some nasty smells pouring into my vents!

Either the Riddlers have way less capacity than the Solids or the write-up needs to be adjusted.

From what I understand, the rear will take about 2.25 quaters and the front is somewhere around 1.25 to 1.5 quarts.

Default Warning bad pun ahead.

This is also a, wait for it.... 'riddle' (hey I warned you) I have been wondering. Is it not sufficent just to add gear oil till it seeps from the fill holes like a stock cover?

Do that and you are almost guaranteed to push oil out of the breather tubes and make a hell of a mess. Could also damage your inner seals.

Default Ok?

So is there a number then? If to the fill hole is too much what is the answer? Is there nothing in the instructions with the diff covers?
