Default Anyone running 255/80R17 BFG KM2s?

In my search I noticed a handful of guys are running 255/85R16s; but is anyone running 255/80R17s? If so, what is your impression of this tire? Is it a comfortable highway tire?

Yes. It is a good tire, but a little stiff with stock springs/shocks because it is a load range E tire. With my new suspension, the ride is noticeably stiffer. At 30 psi on stock rims, they sit right at 32" and are a little less than 10.5" wide. I had no rubbing at all when I was stock.

I have had these tires for almost a year now and they have over 1/2 the tread left at almost 25K miles. There are a few small chunks missing from the tread from sharp rocks, but they are not deep.

These are good tires and I would probably run them again if my Jeep was not lifted. They would be perfect for stock Jeeps if they were load range C or D, but I think that their target was dualies that tow in dirt.

I run the same tires and they definately look bigger than stock rubi tires. I run them at 45psi and ride isn't bad but I do feel the loss in power. I feel like the truck runs better with OD off. as for gas mileage, I am averaging 18 mixed and I have the auto with 3.73. I agree that if they were a C or D load tire then they would be perfect.
