Default Sunroofs on Freedom Tops?

Anyone has ever installed glass panels on their Freedom Tops or know of any aftermarket kits to do so?

Or, are there any tops compatible with the FTs that already come with a sunroof installed?

I've been thinking about this. If I decide to male it myself, I assume I need to get tempered glass in a glass shop. Any recommended thickness?

Thanks!

never seen any kits -- seems like it would be tough to make a sunroof outta 3 separate pieces....but Wild Boar makes replacement hardtops (fastback style), and I believe one or two of their tops have the option of a sunroof.

I was thinking about two pieces of glass. One for each half of the front FT. Maybe even a third, for the rear portion.

I do remember seeing one on here once. If I remember correctly the guy used some marine portal parts kit.

Why would you want to do this? It takes like 30 seconds to remove the panels and toss em on the backseat. Plus you have the benefit of fresh air in your face.

You might be able to modify the Wade skytop to work.

Rain. It rains like crazy in Seattle, however I would still like to have a sense of open cabin. :-)

It would not work with the Freedom Top.

I think it's possible to cut the FT avoiding the support (thicker) beams and install custom-made temperate glass using auto rubber grommets. Will likely have to apply silicon adhesive to help waterproofing. I wonder about the glass thickness. Would 3 to 4mm (~1/8in) work? What't the thickness of the glass used on moonroofs?

Ok. I see. You might want to visit your local junkyard to pick up se panels to experiment with.

JeeTops are what you're looking for. Their website is their name. Can't speak to them, only seen pictures. At their price point, not sure how many they sell.
