Anyone out there done a trans flush using royal purple atf? I over heated my trans just by driving down the beach. Was wondering if it would help keep my trans cooler. I do plan on installing a trans cooler at some point.

Throw on a $60 B&N cooler and be done with it! Takes all the worries away on overheating the tranny.

I wouldn't use a new fluid to keep temps down. I'm installing a transmission cooler tomorrow on my JK. I have to make a write up on it for a school assignment, and I'll post it on here as well. If you have any questions about the install, let me know and I'll try to address it in my write up

I overheated my transmission as well. I drove up a mountain here in NC in 2nd gear for 8 miles. The torque converter cant lockup in 2nd gear, so it generates a ton of heat. The cooler and regearing would help in my situation.
