First how is it, is it as bad as everyone makes it out to be?

second i have a super-chip and wondering what yall found to be the most effective setting i have heard alota ppl set it on towing to gain some of the power back.

I'm running 35" KM2's under a 3.5" AEV lift. Stock 6-speed manual with 3.21 gearing and I've experienced minimal power loss. I was still able to climb loose sandy hills in 3rd gear with extra power to spare.

 

I'm running 35" Duratracks with 3.73 and Superchips. I don't think it's bad at all. Haven't wheeled it yet, but all indications on the road make me feel like it will do fine on the trail. I'm currently using the 87 tune, tried the tow tune, but wasn't impressed.

 

I've got the Duratracs with a 3.73 auto. Daily driver, been on a couple of easy trails, and no problems so far. Duratracs are a little lighter weight tire than some of the others in the same size. I noticed the loss of power initially, but I've gotten used to it. You'll be fine, unless your last ride was a V-8 sports car.

 

same thing here, but 4.10 gears. i ran towing for a few tanks of gas and 87 octane gave me the better mpg by ~1. any difference in performance between the two wasn't noticeable.

 

i have 35" duratracs, manual, 3.73's. its fine. on and off road. def. doable, and tolerable... def not a racecar though!

 

Thanks! ill be doing the 3.5 aev lift too stoked to do it.... another question how is you front axle holding up i have a d30 and that thing looks small compared to the rear axel. plan on doing some wheeling but i live 4 hrs from rc so its not a weekly thing
