Default JeepSWAG Muffler--Great Product!

I just installed the JeepSWAG (Dominion Offroad) muffler and have now put about 3K miles on it during a drive out to San Diego. And I want to say that this muffler is great. I had read that it's no different than the stock muffler in note. That is not the way my muffler is. It has a nice, low note more like a sports car than a truck. It is not a Magnaflow or Flowmaster muffler, and if you prefer that NASCAR loud sound, then go for one of them. But, if you prefer a more sophisticated note, one that almost disappears at Interstate speeds, then give some serious consideration to the JeepSWAG kit. The only thing is, this relocates your muffler where your stock evaporative canister was, so you must first relocate it (I already had years ago). And once you've done the muffler relocate, then you can also opt for the JeepSWAG storage cubby enlagement kit--which is somewhere in my future.

Anyway, during our trip out to San Diego I let my son drive on Old Hwy 80/US 94/Telegraph Canyon Rd into Chula Vista. This two lane road is a delight with lots of curves through very pretty east SD county hill country. There is usually light traffic which goes quickly on this road--it's really one of the best driver's roads in Southern California, yet little known. And also happens to be on the direct path to my folk's home in Chula Vista. How convenient. Anyway, as my son drove this road he had a big smile on his face, shifting through the gears, listening to the very nice JeepSWAG exhaust note. I also have recently added the AEV snorkel, so that undoubtedly made a contribution.

All in all, I'm very satisfied. If you're looking for a muffler that you can install, the JeepSWAG kit fits the bill. A quick Sawzall cut though the existing exhaust line, remove some of it and the muffler, then install the new one with a couple stainless steel clamps. In fact, the entire muffler is stainless steel--but then everything that JeepSWAG makes is SS, isn't it? Great product, underrated, highly recommended.

I should add the I got this at a great discount--not so that I could write this glowing review, but because I ordered some extended brake lines through JeepSWAG and the delivery took an extra week. So Brett called me up, expressed regret about the delay (I really wasn't in a hurry), and offered me a big discount on another product of my choice. What I'm trying to say is Brett's service is top-notch. His product is great. He's a forum sponsor. What more could you ask for?
