Default Stubby bumper mod in progress

Here are a few pics. Let me know what y'all think. I didn't cut quite as much off as others have but I think I got the job done.

Before

Taped off

The beast

Air dam discarded

First cut completed

I left enough to retain the stock bolt locations

Both sides cut

First attempt at plastic welding...not so great

End cap sort of fitted up. I am going to come behind it with some screen and fill in with plastic material from the plastic that I cut off the ends.

So...what do you guys think? Comments? Tips?

x2.

What made you decide to weld instead of fasten the new caps? Are you happy with the final product?
