Default Unlimiteds with TF 4": rear driveshaft?

did you have to replace your rear driveshaft after putting a TF 4" on your unlimited?

is it necessary/recommended? how long did your stocker last?

Replace it with the lift. The stock will be too short, I think.

I'm running 4.5 total lift now on stock shafts. No vibrations at all.

Running the same lift and shock shafts. Tore the boot on the front shaft the first time I disconnected the swaybar links to run Fins & Things in Moab.

My rear shaft lasted for almost 2 years, It was broke on the trail and the lift wasn't a issue. On the Unlimited you should be good on the back for a while. That shaft is very long. You can save your funds for the time.

Now the front was dead in 9 months. So be prepared to do that one 1st.

The CV joint and boot in my front D/S broke within months of putting my 4.5" lift on. Dealer replaced it under warranty. The lift has been on now for about 2 years and I haven't had any problems at all out of the rear D/S.

My stock rear lasted for over 2yrs on BB, then 4in superlift, then 4in TF, then bit the dust in a wreck.
Front shaft lasted about a year.
