Default Bestop Bikini Top SUCKS

I bought the Bestop bikini top that goes to the rear of the cage and no matter WHAT I do, it FLAPS in the wind so bad I could scream! It gets looser and looser until it flaps so bad I have pulled over on the freeway to tighten the straps back down. It does have the part at the soundbar that straps down like the OEM one, thats not the problem Its at the rear. I bought some clip things from the hardware store to try to fix it, I have tied a knot in it after cinching it down as tight as I can but it still loosens up. It starts off good and tight but loosens up within about 3-5 miles on the freeway.
I HATE IT, DON'T BUY ONE!!!
And, they aren't cheap since you have to buy the dumb windshield channel as well.

Sounds like you are doing something wrong. Mine works great.

I have one as well, I don't have any problems. Had a slapping issue on the sound bar, fixed it with a small blanket in between the bar and the top.

Mine works good, if the pool noodle is stuffed on top of the sound bar.

Mine is GREAT!!!!! Have not put my other top back on yet.

This weekend I outlined the sound bar with weather stipping and absolutely no more flapping .

I have the mesh one, so it doesnt flap to much at all. It does loosen a little in the back. I find if I wrap the strap twice around the bar it stays better.

Wink Two door

Yeah with the four door I think you wrap it around the bar in the back, the two door model has no bar and it tells you to wrap it around the rear seat belt buckles... You just need some support in the back, find a nice section of wood or someting and mount it to the roll bar or something like that, maybe put some plastic on the edge of it so It can't flap, Mine was driving me crazy, but then I just got used to it and now I kinda like it, so good luck with getting your Safari top quiet...
