Default Got a clunk coming from the rear going over bumps on my '11 Rubi with a 3.5 AEV lift.

The AEV lift was installed when the Jeep was new and before I had driven it. There is a clunk when going over bumps and now it happens more often and with going over less of a bump (such as a speed bump). I originally thought it was the 35" tire on the stock carrier flexing the sheet metal on the tailgate. I then replaced the carrier with the AEV bumper mount. Clunk continued. I do not see any signs of paint being scuffed at any suspension components from metal hitting metal. Any ideas anyone?

I had a clunk coming from the rear when I was going over bumps. It turned out to be my rear TB hitting my rear springs because of them bowing. I fixed it with correction wedges. Just a thought.

Mine does the same thing... But it's because I smashed my fender and some of the clips are missing and it wiggles around.

Do you have D-Rings on your rear bumper those clink sometimes when you go over bumps

Check and make sure your jack isnt loose in the cubby. Then get some wrenches out and check torque on your suspension components.

Check your shocks. Mine was loose at the bottom. Tightened mine this morning and fixed my problem.

I looked at the springs a few minutes ago and I saw a very small scrape that may be from hitting the track bar bracket. Too early for it to be from natural wear and tear. Good call...I hope. The bracket has two holes and the bar is mounted on the lower hole so I think it would not be wrong to cut the bracket down to make it lower so as not to hit the spring.
No D-rings yet so that can't be it.
Thank you for the quick responses!!!
Any other ideas just in case?

Default Shocks or rear sway bar bracket

I have had a shock work loose that made a knock and squeak sound. I've had the rear sway bar drop down extension that was installed with the lift work loose enough to make a nice clunk sound. Tightened the bolt and no more sound.
