Default Axle sleeve instal.

I have a question and it prob is dumb. Why can't you put axle sleeves in w/o taking the axle all the way out of the jeep? I looks like you could just pull the shafts drill your holes and weld it while its still under the jeep. Maybe a heat problem? Any insite would be great.

I can't imagine doing it on the Jeep. It wasn't all that simple with the axle off. First, your going to have clearance issues for the drill. Second, you won't be able to do all the welds in the down hand position. Heat build up is probably not an issue unless you are doing the c-gussets also in which case you're going to want to proceed slowly in order to keep the ball joints cool.

Hey Medic,

You do not have to remove the entire axle, housing and all, from the Jeep to install the EVO MFG 44 Magnum Sleeves.

It can be done while completely installed on the vehicle, you just need to securly suspend it from the weight of the vehicle and remove the axle shafts.

Sweet I didn't see why you would have to. Did you just jack it up and pull the axle shafts?
