Hawk LTS brakes review *pics of old pads*
First off a big thanks to Woods/JeepSwag.com for the parts. Very quick shipping from the US to Canada and the pads were packed in 2 parcels which avoided the duties
My JK is an 09 with 51,000 kms and when I disassembled the rear brakes yesterday, the original pads just fell to pieces. The install went without any issues thanks to the Project-JK write up section. For those changing their pads, keep in mind you'll need to buy a brake pad retainer clip kit. I picked up the Raybestos kit which includes clips for front and rears as well as new caliper pin rubber boots. Part number for the kit is in the pic below and yes the kit was needed in my case because two of the 8 clips were slightly damaged/worn. I was running around all day today making deliveries hauling my 6X10 closed trailer and I have to say that the difference between the stock pads and the Hawks are VERY noticeable. I'm very happy with the pads and a big thanks to this forum and it's users for the abundant info I gathered from this site.
