Default Can super chips help crawl ratio on a non-Rubi, manual?

I'm wanting to get a computer to turn off my tire pressure light...trying to validate getting super chips....question:

Can a tune help my crawl ratio in a 6 speed sahara with 31" mud tires? Or help anything at all in a manual on stock sized tires?

That would be pretty sweet....but for now I'm just trying to see what the super chips offers for a manual trans. If it does shift points, that does me no good. I suppose if it does change throttle response that it may help.......this is really a "so what can super chips do for me" thread.......

So if running 93, what does the '93 tune' do for you?

Not to bash on the Superchips, but a lot of the same questions crossed my mind. For a 6-speed, the pros just don't seem that many over a ProCal to justify the price difference IMHO.

gearing is mechanical, nothing a computer can do to change it

I am running a Superchips on a 6-speed 2007 Sahara. Throttle response is better, and pick up is slightly better using regular gas on the 87 tune. I bought it used. I would not have bought it new.

I run a superchip on my 6 speed and I run the 87 tune most of the time but 93 is awesome if u wanna pay for the gas. The crawl tune is great when rock crawling. I still have 3.21 gears for now and it really slows you down over obsticals. With the crawl tune on I can let completely off the clutch and crawl at 2 mph w/o touching the gas at all.

When you say it adjusts compression, what do you really mean?

On my 08 X with 35's and 3.21's I am using the SuperChips. When I go wheeling I set it to the crawl tune which adjusts the engine idle slightly higher and the skinny pedal rarely is used. I put it in 1st gear let off the clutch and off she goes.

Ya I was thinking about this, and however I am still happy with my superchips, I do think it benefits auto's way more. Like said before, you can't expect it to be like a "I SEE THE LIGHT" change in performance but it does give you a little more pep, especially with the stock tires, and it will better your fuel consumption.I bought mine to offset the extra drag of the bigger meats and for the other options.I also turned my TPMS off, that is great
