I know the Hemi swap is what everyone drools over, but not everyone has $20k laying around to do. I was just wondering if anyone heard of someone swapping in the 4.0 V6 from the Chrysler Pacifica and the minivans? I'm sure there are plenty of 4.0 available for a lot less then the Hemi.

3.8 V6
205hp @ 5200rpm
240tq @ 4000rpm

4.0 V6
253hp @ 5800rpm
262tq @ 4100rpm

Seems like a lot of work and not much gain. I would think you would be better saving a little longer and doing a hemi. JSS is very resonable on a Hemi Upgrade. IMO.

I agree about JSS. If you go on their website the whole thing installed before taxes is like 11 grand. I'd go that route myself

Yep. Especially when you could get about the same gain with the RIPP blower and not have to take engines in or out of the bay. And that's with 35" tires.

It's not the price, but the aftermarket support. Companies have already done all of the R&D to make install kits for the hemi. If you choose a 4.0, you are doing all of that work yourself. Fabbing everything up and getting all the computer crap to work would eat the budget up quick. So even though your could get that 4.0 for cheaper than a hemi, it would cost more.
