Default Rugged Ridge Differential Covers - Painted Interior

Hi,

I just purchased a Rugged Ridge differential cover. Previously I had purchased Riddler covers and then painted them. (The RR covers are painted.)

I remember reading that other folks recommended against painting the interior and the mating surfaces of the Riddlers.

I don't know if I should be concerned using the RR cover because it is painted from the factory. The options would be to return it, or to remove the paint. Removing the paint would probably not be desired.

Are other differential covers painted on the interior and on the mating flange?

It's hard to believe that RR would provide covers this way if there was any concern; but, I thought I would ask for some advice.

Thanks

Jeff

There is no reason to paint the inside of the covers. Not sure why the do it.
