Anyone ordered a vehicle directly from AEV?
I was wondering if any of you have ordered a vehicle directly from AEV with one of their conversion packages on it?
If so, what vehicle did you order and which conversion package did you get?
Additionally, how was your experience overall what would you do the same and what would you do differently?
Thanks in advance for the feedback.

pretty much my dream right there in a nutshell. I, one day, want to be able to pick up the phone, and say I want this, this, that, and this and have them put it all on before I even receive my Jeep. They make some good quality products.

The end result is I did much of the modifications myself and had the local shop do other pieces. I ended up w/exactly what I wanted, it just didn't come shipped that way.
I ordered one from AEV with their mods exactly as you have asked. Ordered 7/6 and just today went into D production, so after I get it I will be able to answer the rest of your questions. Dave the owner is 1st class to deal with.
I will admit however some of his sales staff are not well educated on customer support as mentioned above. However, so far it's really up to Jeep to produce the base vehicle, then once AEV gets it I'll see if the support / follow up improves.

Thanks for the feedback... I am still not decided on whether to wait out the order I have in locally or cancel and order from AEV. It seems they have a good relationship with the local Jeep dealer and they have some available now as well as more on the way.

I actaully came real close to ordering one from them. It was gonna be somewhere between 43-45 for the 4dr w/all the goodies. Once I figured out that their customer service is NON-EXISTANT, I opted not to buy a DAMN thing directly from them. It wasn't till about 7 weeks after I called, e-mailed, called again, e-mailed again, probably called a couple more times that they finally got back w/me. I thought it was rediculous... here I am searching them out and trying to hand them $45K and they wouldn't give me the time of day. I did end up buying the AEV bumper but I was going to be damned if I was gonna give them 100% of my money for it... so I ordered from Quadratec figuring it was the same price but Quadratec has great customer service so I'd rather give them a piece of the pie.

I'm sure there are more people w/good experiences than bad... mine just happened to be one of the bad ones. I agree, they make AWSOME stuff... I did end up buying their bumper... just not direct from them for reasons mentioned above. Also, I'm sure it depends on who you talk to... BTW, I didn't talk to Dave... Kent Klein was the one that I dealt with (at least when I could get him to get back to me
I sent them an email with questions on the process and how it would work getting the vehicle since I live in MA. No response. Obviously one of those businesses that don't feel like they need to be responsive to customers, must be nice to have so much work not to care!
