I'm sure people will chime in for Gobi and from what I can tell it is an awesome rack, just the most expensive option on the market too. Personally too rich for my blood.

I'm leaning toward the Cargo Master and fabricating my own deflector. Also it has a 500lb capacity. That is important to me because there is a guy down in Santa Cruz selling roof top tents that I'm digging on and that is what I'm going to mount on the rack.

I love the look of the Gobi, but I'm having the same issues with the price. I'm leaning toward making my own. What is the name of the company in Santa Cruz? I'm looking to get an RTT and will be in SC this summer.

I had both. I still have the Congo cage. I sold the roof rack that went with it because I'm moving to Oregon and it rains all the time. I think they are very well built and sturdy. I would recommend them.

Try the Garvin Wilderness Rack, thats the one that ive got on my list. Its around 800 for a 2 door and around 1100 for the 4 door. It looks pretty nice

I have the Garvin on my 4dr and love it. It does drag a little in the wind when empty, but other than that it is a great rack. I did have to drill 8 holes in the back of my JK, for the rear mount, but if I ever decide to get rid of the rack I can just cover that with a body armor kit.

I went with the Garvin Track Rack. Holds 200 pounds and is only a small portion of the hardtop.
