Default Wife agrees the Jeep needs performance enhamceemts

After replacing the BB with the Teraflex 2.5 inch lift with shocks, installing a front bumper, wench, lights, My wife agrees the Jeep performance needs to be improved.

The current gears are 3.21 with 32 inch wheels.

I am looking to regear to 4.56.

What else can I do to improve the performance and hopefully gas mileage?

thanks

Doug

superchips programmers help with that, as well as reprogram your speedometer if you get bigger tires down the road

Default Wow

Thats amazing that you put a 'wench' on your Jeep and the wife thinks you need more enhancements. Ha. Anyway yeah I am not really sure there are too many decently cheap enhancements for a JK that make a worth while difference. Maybe a cold air intake or maybe a less restricting air filter. Some have reported better fuel economy with a snorkel. Some have also said they gained some mpg's with the ripp supercharger but your paying for those. Someone else will chime in I am sure. I just always think that if there was a way too add some mpgs or extra horses cheaply without negative effects don't you think an engineer at chrysler, general motors, ford, etc would have thought of it?

The gears will help tremendously. Do that and see how you feel.

If that's not enough, I'd say a Ripp supercharger would just about knock your socks off. You'd add around 100 horsepower, which I assume you'd find adequate. Don't know what your budget is, but they're about $5k.
