I was wondering the same thing. I want to just keep it outside in the backyard maybe on some 2x4's the keep it off the dirt. I don't see anything that could go wrong, it takes a beating when driving. It gets rained on while driving so why not sitting in the yard.

I got a great offer on a soft top from a friend that I want to use in the summer just need to figure out what to do with this hard top???

Has anyone had experience with this?

I store mine outdoors on pretty even ground (mix of gravel and grass) on a couple of 2x6's. They extend all the way underneath the top, I use them as runners so the top has evenly distributed it's weight, this will prevent warping and twisting of the top. It's then covered with a tarp and weight placed around the edges of the tarp to prevent it from blowing away. I recommend closing the window as leaving it open is bad for your window cylinders and will lessen the chance of something happening to it if its left open. Cap off the the electrical plug with a small plastic bag and some dilectric grease on the contacts, also cap off or plug the rear wiper washer hose, something I learned the hard way when a few pine needles and dead bugs clogged mine.
