is it ok to buy a used super chip?

Yes but as the prior poster indicated, the original jeep must have been returned to it's stock settings. This is how the superchip makes sure you and twenty of your buddies don't just chip in to buy only one and share it. The chip can only do one jeep at a time, which must be returned to stock before it can do another jeep.

Make sure your seller is aware of this. He may be thinking that he just tuned his jeep and now he can sell it to recoup some of his costs. This won't work.

If it is a local sale, and the price is right, go for it.

If it is not a local sale, be sure to talk to the seller and verify, and then double verify, that it has been returned to stock. And a big note here is that the 'return to stock' feature only returns the tune to stock. He will still need to return the gears/ tire size/etc to stock manually.
