My sliders came back form powdercoat yesterday and so here are the pictures I promised.

These are the Poison Spyder Brawler Rockers. I choose them for a few reasons.

I did not want rockers that attached solely to the body.

The rockers that attach to the frame such as ACE or LOD are a better design, but you lose a little clearence, and you can catch the metal bars that attach to the frame on a rock, and that can throw you off your line. Also, JKs are built to flex, and the rockers can flex up and hit your tub. I would want some rocker armor. I strongly considered ACE rockers with some Rubi Rails.

Did not want anything with skulls.

I went with a boatside design. There are others, I chose PSC. I like the way they wrap around the bottom of the tub for sliding. I also like the way they are gusseted. Every six inches or so there is a gusset along the length of the slider. These are 3/16" steel, and with the gussets are incredibly strong. Also you can get some B pillar armor which matches up (I did, oddly it is not back from powdercoat)

Another factor is they stick out several inches and can be used as a step.

Also the holes in the side and bottom won't retain water and will make it easy to hose out dirt and mud.

There are two pieces per side. One piece attaches to the tub as rocker armor. The other piece attaches underneath, wraps around and attaches to the rocker armor.

Anyway, that is my reasoning. Can't wait to get them on

Don't have the bill yet. They are still at the shop that will install them. Will let you know in a couple days

 

I have them also, they are awesome! Just be patient with the nutserts, might have u cussing before it's over!

you don't mind drilling the sheet metal? Hope they prime/paint the wholes

I don't mind drilling. Any sort of rocker armor will need it.

 

just grabbed the drill and jumped right in, lol. nutserts were a pain, but i talked to the guys from poison spyder in Moab at the Easter Jeep Safari and they said they were working on a solution to drill all the way thru and put actual nuts on the back side of the bolts with spacers inside the space between the sheetmetal to make them more solid and an option to not use nutserts, but u could still do the nutsert way if u wanted, its going to be customer choice.
