Warn Powerplant yeas and neys?
I'm evaluating bumpers, based on my desire for one that will handle the Warn Powerplant. But now I'm wondering if the powerplant is right for me.
My intentions are to have some sort of onboard air supply as well as onboard welder. I figured having the air supply combined with the winch would give more room under the hood for the welder.
Can any owners of the powerplant give me their opinions, as well as those that own other onboard air systems?

So far, no complaints. The winch works great. The compressor works great.
The way I look at it, at least I'm exercising the mechanicals a lot more than most. A lot of winches I see on the trail look pretty "static". Don't know if it is going to work until 6 months down the road when you go to use it in a really good stuck. At least I know the compressor worked yesterday so the winch will more than likely work today.
My two cents.

my power plant is the shit, my only suggestion is to make sure you get a off set bumper. if not when you spool it up it will all stay to the left and bundle up!
oh yea i have had mine for 3 years and never had a problem

Great Unit
I've enjoyed mine sine 2008, NO problems, great unit and use the air all the time.
I have ARB Bumper and it sits within and protects the winch. After a run, I can help fill others tires with no problems. Winch works greats. Have both remotes and use more of the manual one than the wireless. I guess wireless may come in handy one day. I also have a separate inline LARGE fuse to protect the unit (Safety factor). Nice to have ALL-IN-ONE unit.
