$7 of plate steel and square tube sure beats $50 + shipping, plus, it gives me something to do this weekend . The 14 bucks for the plug from the dealer to cover the stock bracket cutout in the body was a little much I thought .

It is so much more rewarding to make your own if you can. Nice job!

Thanks for the props. I'll post pics when its all painted up. I've got a CAD drawing I could post up if anyone else is interested. Has everything dimensioned out as far as the hole locations for mounting and what not.

I was prob just going to wait until Johnny Law complained, but maybe you could tie into the stock light some how? Or just bite the bullet and order up the ORO light kit online.

Guys and gals if you relocate your license plate or are thinking of doing it but worried about the hole to fill. The "Jeep JK OEM License Plate Hole Cover" PN 55397112AA is available at moparsupercenter dot com. Not sure what the dealer is charging for it but i got mine for no more than $15 shipped!!!

Mine was $14.02 with tax from my local dealership. It was there the next day. Thankfully, my dealer also has a custom shop that they put new rigs out the door from with lifts and other goodies.
