Not that I mind the scrapes and bruises on my rear LoD bumper terribly bad, but it would be nice to be able to church it up a bit. Basically, I have some minor scrapes on the corners and lower lip. Does anyone have any suggestions on what type of paint I could use to clean it up a bit? I was thinking maybe model paint or possibly flat black spray paint. The spray paint does seem like it would spray to wide for the small spots I am talking about, but maybe not.

Any options ya'll have used successfully would be greatly appreciated!

 

Sometimes I use spray paint on a piece of cardboard and then use a Q-tip to apply it to my project...

 

That sounds like it might be a good idea. Any others?

 

Yep this is the method I have used on my LoD matte finish bumpers to touch up any rock chips or minor scratches that could lead to rust. Oh Chris told me to use Rusteoleum flat black for my repairs.

 

Cool. I'm not sure if my finish is matte or textured. Here's a couple of pic's if anyone knows the difference...

Looks like texture to me too. I use bedliner spray to touch up mine,works great!

 

I overspray everything rustoleum satin black. That when when things get scratched, it is a very quick and easy touch up. I buy the rustoleum satin black 4 at a time from Home Depot. I keep them in my garage and spray everything under my rig that color. Looks brand new when I get done and everything matches!
