Default Thinking of just swapping out springs and tires/wheels for off roading trips...

I've got an idea and I wanted to see what everybody else things...

I drive a whole lot of miles on the road... So I want to lift the jeep a whole lot and put larger tires on it...
So,
What if I get another set of wheels and tires that are larger, ie, 34"-35",
Then also get a set of 4 longer springs...
I would use these only when I'm going wheeling... Since we all know it's fairly easy to swap out springs... I would just swap springs, put on the larger tires and have at it... Then when I'm done, swap springs back and put on the stock tires/wheels...
What else should I do to make it a safe ride? What should I do to prevent damage
just from the longer springs... ie: longer brake lines? longer sway bar links-front back?

Any help appreciated.
Thanks

Thats alot of work, guess it depends on how much you wheel. You would need like you said, longer sway bar links, break lines, longer shocks to accomodate the springs and bumpstops. My jeep is my DD on 35s for 2 and half years now and its been fine.

You would have to re-do your suspension geometry settings every time you switched back and forth. Items such as trackbars (if applicable), control arm lengths (if applicable), toe-in settings, re-center steering, swap discos and rear links, etc.

Instead of swapping springs and wheels, I'd recommend a conservative 2.5" lift along with a road friendly wheel/tire set up. Alloy (no steel) wheels, and an aggressive 33" AT tire.

There are many lift, tire combos that will work even better than you stock setup. Just do a little research and pick the one that best fits your needs.
