Default badland winches

Anyone know how durable these are? I see them at harbor freight and was thinking of getting one.

Google Search for "winches in Hell" the article is everywhere, the Chicago Electric (From northern tool or HF) survived along with superwinch and warn. Interesting read. Also the Recon Winch is getting a following (myself included) with it's synth line, dual control, 10.5k IP waterproof rating of 6/7 (dust and water tight deeper then your front end will go), faster then average line speed and lower operating amp draw it packs a punch at well under $500 on eBay ($699 on their site).
The chicago electric winch tend was SLOW in the tests.
