Covering holes in tail gate after going to tire carrier
What has everyone done to plug/cover the holes in the tail fate after removing the factory tire carrier? Looking for ideas.
I just put the bolts back and cut the 3rd brake light wire to make my own.
Oh, I also reinstalled those rubber bumpers. One contacts the tire carrier (with slight trimming) and prevents it from trying to tilt into the tailgate.
Was there something else I should have done?

I have my spare in the back since I'm running 35s and didn't want the issue of the tailgate/hinges to get screwed up. When I took my carrier off I just disconnected my 3rd brake light and slipped the wire into the tailgate. I then just put the bolts back into the tailgate. Figured when I need the space in the back, I can just hook the carrier back on and mount the spare back up. Believe me rear bumper/tire carrier combo will be ordered shortly!
I purchased and installed the Warrior cover plate, brake light, and license plate holder. Had it all painted to match my Mango Tango and it looks great. The biggest job was rewiring from the old license plate location to the tailgate. I also purchased a plug from Mopar for where the old license plate assembly was.

My tire carrier covers it up anyhow.
If you don't have a tire carrier yet, may I suggest the Rancho. It is inexpensive, but mine has held up to some real abuse and still works just great with no squeaks.
I did put the bolts back in. I removed the bump stops and brake light wiring so u technically only have 3 holes to cover.
I am running an XRC tire carrier setup now. Loving it so far.
I like the Psc tramp stamp.
I also thought about getting some vinyl decals made up.
