Default ACE Rock rails

Just installed my rock rails by ACE. The install was very easy 2 bolts on each side and just had to grind down the washers. They seem very sturdy when I was jumping on them. It wont be a while until I get to the test them out on the trail Click image for larger version

Looks good and based on what I've heard these seem to be very well made. I have the rubi rails but would like to extra protection these could provide and it would be nice having a step also. Post back here after you get to use them on the trail

When they say you need to "grind down the washers" which ones exactly? Can you snap a pic of where on the JK this is referencing? I'm about to pull the trigger on ordering these, but not sure I have any tools to complete this step.

The body mount bolts under the rocker panel area have some big thick washers that have to have flats ground on to them so they will sit flat in the pockets of the mounting arms for the sliders.
I used my bench grinder, but an angle grinder would work just as well if you have a vise to hold them in.

I highly recommend them! Good price, great quality.

I'm still not 100% clear on this. Can u take a pic? Instead of grinding, couldn't I just buy new washers to fit? And don't the ACE sliders mount to different points than the Rubi rails?

Adjust the rubi rails as high and as close to the body as possible . Then mount the Ace rails as instructed. Fit good together ,still both pieces are separate pieces. No welding. I will get pics on tomorrow.
