Default Sway bar link help.

I am installing a sway bar link with my RC 2.5 lift. As I was bolting it to the sway bar the washer/nut close to the joint moved up on the threads. I can tourqe it down but I am not sure if this will affect its ability to do what it is supposed to. I can provide pictures as soon as I get off of work. Thanks in advance for the help.

So basically youre saying the nut that is fixed to the joint came loose and now you think you might have problems if you just tighten it where its at?

Yes. I know this is a tough one to describe. I will post pics as soon as I get home tonight.
