Default Bouncy - do i need new shocks

One year ago i installed Bilstein 5100 shocks - very stiff and great ride.

Now when i back out of my driveway and my front end goes down the curb, the whole jeep wobbles and rocks.

When I stop at a light the front/back does not bounce that much. Front end rises about 2 inches then settles.

I googles Bilstein shocks and there are many stories of them going bad after a year. Do you think I need new shocks or could it be the springs or something else?

When you hit the brakes the front end will nose down a bit and when you come to a complete stop, the front end should rise up smoothly & then stay there. If it settles down again as you've said, then it sounds like the shocks have lost pressure and need to be replaced. A year doesn't seem anywhere near long enough for shocks to last unless you're wheeling the hell out of your rig every other day. I'd be contacting Blisten for a refund even if they are outside the strict warranty terms.

I replaced the bushings on my RE's without even jacking it up. Noted, I was a little tired afterwards, compressing them by hand was b!t$h!!! But it can be done. I also installed bar pin eliminators in the rear at the same time. Worth the money the next time you have to replace them.
