Default to those who know about winches ????

hi, I'm making a bumper for a client, (that's what I do) but he wants to run a 12500 pound champion winch, he doesn't have it yet, normally I just make the standard holes for the winch, but I'm not sure if the 12500 is any different, I would apreciate if anybody new this answer. thank you in advance.

Google the winch company and see if they show a bolt pattern... or call them and have them send you one..... Good luck...

Well, I was going to look on Champion's website to see if they had a plate template for the 12500 lb winch, but the biggest winch that Champion shows on their website is 10k. Maybe email or call Champion to get the bolt hole placement dimensions.

I wonder if it's an older winch. Seems like Champion might have made some hydraulic winches that were up there in pull rating, but I can't remember. Maybe he ordered a "new" winch that was old stock somewhere. You got me.

Better question is why did he go with Champion out of all the possibilities out there?

I was thinking that exact same thing. @ the OP do you have any picutres of some of some of the more interesting bumpers you've built? That would be awesome to see.
