Default Toyo 37's or KM2 38's?

I'm kinda new at all this, but after some heavy reading I've decided to bypass the 35's in favor of 37's. I'm just going to end up there anyways . I have a 2dr 6spd manual, that I am going to re-gear to 4.88. Dana 44 in the rear and 30 up front. I'm not to worried about the Dana 30 because at some point I am just going to swap out for a 44. I don't wheel, and the JK is basically a daily driver, at least til I can get it paid off and have another vehicle so I can wheel and not worry about breaking anything and having to walk to work lol. I'm stuck between the Toyo 37x13.5/17's and the KM2 365/75-16's. I'm going to have to buy rims either way so that's not a big deal. The Toyo's are pigs in the weight department, but the KM2's are taller. Since I am going with either the Teraflex 2.5" coil lift and with 1" of body, or the Full Traction 3" kit with 1" of body will the Km2's clear? I know I will have to trim the pinch seam, no biggie. IS their an advantage to either one...tires, or lift kit? And will I have to beef up my rear if I go with the taller KM2's? At some point, probably sooner than later, I'll go to adjustable lower control arms and a new drive shaft. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. I am stuck in tire madness right now lol.

just curious why Goodyear MTR's w Kevlar is not an option? 37 is a true 37"s and not too bad in the weight catagory. Best wishes whatever you decide, welcome to the 37 club.

btw- you don't need body lift with the Full Traction long arm 3"

KM2's are manufactured by Michelin in the US. The tread pattern is based in BFG Krawler's that dominate every off road competition. Toyo's are made in Japan.

I'd choose BFG KM2 or Goodyear MTR Kevlars if I wanted a superior tire.

Guys say "I love these tires" but never come back and state their feelings after 80k miles.

I haven't considered the MTR's because it looks like they only come in a 12.5" width at 37". The BFG's are a heck of alot cheaper, and can get a smoking deal on Toyo's. It looks like I am going to go with the KM2's. Will the rear Dana 44 handle them without being beefed up right away? And do the front c's need to be gusseted right away even if I don't plan on any serious off roading? Thanks.

I don't think you'll go wrong with either one. Ckivy was able to get 45k out of 37" KM2's and still had tread on them. As far as Toyo, I haven't read one bad thing about except how much they weigh. Either choice would be good. Just flip a coin!

Plus the MTR's are on backorder and wait lists everywhere in the 37 inch size... check the threads. People have been waiting a long time for them. Go with the KM2's

A KM2 in a 38 is probably close to a 37". They tend to be shorter than other makes.

If you buy any kind of tires from Discount tires, you are being ripped off. Several places have the 365/75-16's for about $200 less per tire. Discount Tire's has been consistently higher, and I mean by ALOT, on just about any tire I have priced through them. Even if ordering online with the shipping costs I have not found Discount Tire's to beat anyone's prices.

I love my Toyo's (37s) I drive on them 60 mile a day and wheel them on the weekends. I have used these tires on an f350 (40's) and on a F450 dually (37's) and they would last 60k on a heavy truck with no problem. In my mind they are the best.
