The terra grappled will be the most highway friendly and do OK offroad. I run the trail grapplers and love them. Right now I'm all street driven and they handle well onroad in all conditions. Then when I do decide to go off-road I will have a good trail tire. My vote trail grapplers. Oh an did I mention they look bad ass too.

It really depends what you want.. the Trailgrapplers have a much more aggressive look and imho do not lose much of the drivability that the terra's offer. Also, they are super quiet for the aggressiveness of the tread. I have the TrailG's and they are great, they are not the best on the ice, but find an off-road tire that is, and I'll give you $5. I also am running the 295/70R18 for a couple of reasons.. 1. they are 1/4" less than the 35's(not noticable).. if I remember right its a 34.6 vs 34.75" tire or something like that. They are skiinier 11.5 vs a 12.5 when you get to 35's. This theorhetically helps in the snow and wind resistance, but the big reason is that here in Colroado they will not run tires for emissions that are 35' or larger.. techincally mine aren't. Lastly, I think they were $50 cheaper per tire..so it saved me $250 overall. I did run spacers, but had to remove my plastic air dam up front.

Here's my setup:

one thing to watch out for. I had these on my stock tailgate for 2 months and it started making noise. turns out that I popped a couple of welds (there is a thread on this you can search for). so if you do go large, make sure you have money for the tire carrier..

I've had both (and both were/are 295 70 17)... the Terra Grapplers last - at least for me... I got over 55k miles out of them. However, I love my Trail Grapplers... way more aggressive, quiet and ride great. They are wearing well too with about 15k miles on them. I would go with Trail Grapplers... they give you drivability along with some decent off road tires.

I got the Terra's (See sig). There really a good handling tire and quiet and work good in the sandy off-road conditions. With that being said I would go more aggressive.

Default Go with Trail Grapplers

I have nitto terra grapplers in 295/70/16 with 55,000+ and wearing great. I rotate with EVERY oil change. And I got alot more miles to go. However, they don't have that aggressive look to them which is the ONLY thing I dont like. They go through rocks, mud, and sand GREAT. However, I can't wait until I wear them out so I can get the trail grapplers only because of the more aggressive look. Hope this helps and I am already jealous if you get the trail grapplers...

Can't comment on the Trails, but had 295/75/16 Terra's for a while. Great all-around tire, much less than the other AT's I was looking at, but they run small. Specs indicated 33.27", they were 32" even under my jk at 30psi. Be sure to browse for info on the actual size to expect for your 18" versions.
