Default Factory auto tranny skids and drifeshafts

I have read on a couple threads where the stock driveshaft would scrape/tear the boot on the factory skid when the JK is lifted and articulated.

Would aftermarket driveshafts (I have JE Reel's) cure this, or will I need an aftermarket skid?

Thanks in advance!

it doesn't hit the skid it hits the side of the tranny pan...

pretty much every aftermarket shaft out there has a smaller diameter than the factory piece so there should be no worries. I've already blown 2 boots and both were only disconnected with a budget boost...
I'm still on the second driveshaft now but will be replacing it with something else before winter. Not going to waste my time on the stock one just to have it tear and split again.
