Default Lifting My 09 JK 4 dr. Unlimited (Warranty Concern)

I'm almost ready to lift my 09 JK 4 dr. Unlimited.
I'm concerned about voiding my warranty.
Fortec 4X4 says Chrysler/Jeep will void my Warranty if I go over 2.5",
does everyone agree with that?

Per JK FAQS- it shouldn't. In order for your dealer to deny repairs to a break on your Jeep, they would need to prove that the damage was caused specifically by the lift. Having said that, your dealership can "flag" or place a restriction on your Jeep and this will in effect make it very difficult to have warranty work done. Great Question !

I have a 2010 4door , and itching to lift , but the hole voiding warranty has slowed me down .

Any one out there lifted and had warranty worked covered.

Alot of people on here have had warranty work completed with a lift. It all depends on what dealership you go to and the repair thats needed

This is EXACTLY the "grey" type of answer that keeps me in limbo! "Some will others will not". The Dealer I bought it from in Ocala, Florida will NOT give me a straight answer either!

Talk to your local dealers and hope to find one that is mod-friendly. Any mod can and will void parts of the warranty, but some dealers are more willing to work with you than others. (mopar 'accessories' are fairly safe, mopar 'performance parts' are as-is/no warranty).

If you want a straight answer, go out to mopar performance and look at any of the mopar lifts. They will have a part number beginning with a P, for Performance, and you will find a blurb in the warranty area stating that all Performance parts are as-is/no warranty, even if installed by a dealer. Can't get much more straight than that. But as noted above, 'some' dealers are willing to work with you.

If you want to lift it, just do it. You will like the way it look's. That's what I did in April when I Lifted my 09 JK 4 dr. Unlimited . And I like the way it look's now.
