I am sure this had been asked before, but my search came back with negative results.... Why do i have a red led blinking just above and to the right of the temperature gauge after i lock doors? Ive had the jeep for 7 months now, its an 07 sahara, and to be honest this is the first time i noticed it... I even noticed it getting back in the car after a while.

Alarm system?

 

If it's like my 11, it's your security system/ ignition kill activating. Only blinks 5-6 times then stops.

If you use key to unlock the door it will trip the alarm. Pretty funny the first time it happened to my wife.

I just learned I had an alarm when I crawled through the freedom top to open the locked door.

 

Hey im gonna try that ... With the key... I didnt think i had an alarm

 

What an idiot... I didnt even know i had it, dumbass dealer!!
