Default Lookin to get more MPG, whats the best route?

Have a 2011 JK 2 door, any gas mileage would help- im hearing all sorts of stuff but what is most effective for gas mileage? Air filter, new exhaust, spark plugs or superchip (i know they dont have one yet for 2011) ?

also- which of these adds most HP?

thanks guys !

Nothing works. The less stock you get the more mpg you lose.

I heard superchips flashpaq works a little but I own a '11 and the darn thing doesn't work on mine yet.

Actually I take that back. When you bring your JK back from the dealership, remove your doors and leave your rear seat and spare in the garage. And hard top too if it came with it. Will gain you maybe 1 to 2 mpg

Haha, just buy a moped! My mpg stays at about 15.5 mpg and I feel pretty good about it. My dodge was getting 11.8 mpg...

try using your cruise control as much as possible - I use mine all the time, even in town, squeezing about 16 in town, highway @ 65-70 is great - no load avg 19+, ethanol free gas, yep found a station in the area that is ethanol free and I gain 2-3mpg to squeeze 21 on freeway with cruise. my foot, well, i'm just glad to have a jeep

Just leave it parked on your driveway... you'll never have to refill your gas tank ever again.

If you're planning on modding up your JK like I did..... 3" lift, new bumper with stinger, rims and 35 tires.... I can tell you my K&N air filter did nada!!!! But using a Superchip and regearing to 5.13 gears I did get some gas mileage back. Also better with the soft top then the hard top. I have an 09 4 dr

For any Jeep - from full-mod JKU to stock JK - driving style makes a big difference in mileage. That's 'cause the JK is sorta heavy and shaped like a brick.

Around town, mellow out and let that car pull in front of you. On the hwy run steady with slower traffic. If that's too boring, just buy the extra fuel and fuggetaboutit.

Letting the engine breath better is a good thing, but it only helps if you drive easy. Trouble is, when it breaths good you wanna let it run.

Mods are great on the trail, but on the road a taller wider vehicle sucks more fuel. Aggressive tire tread sucks more fuel. Wrong gearing (either direction) sucks more fuel.

But, who said fun was s'posed to be cheap anyway?
