Default Prorock 44 unlimited??

I am kicking around the idea of replacing my D30 with one of these bad boys. My question is will it work with my set up? I have the AEV lift which uses the drop brackets for the front control arms and uses the factory control arms. I love the way it rides now so just hoping to maintain the ride quality.

Also, I have an atlas TC with 1310 yoke and will be using an aftermarket driveshaft.

It should, I wouldn't see why not. The control arm mounts are in the same location as stock unless you special order different.

My buddy is installing a pr44 right now with the aev kit. A lot of problems with the aev brackets. I think the pr44 tube diameter is 3" and stock d44/d30 is 2.5" so the brackets don't fit. Had to cut and weld them all on.

Just installed my AEV lift and unless the axles housing and tabs are exactly the same as the originals all of the brackets will have issues. To me it would be easier to find a used Dana off a similar model jeep that someone upgraded to 60s and is getting rid of. You could also call AEV, their customer service is pretty good and could point you in the right direction.

The OP is talking about the control arm drop brackets that mount to the frame. These have nothing to do with axle housing diameter. Any other bracket that had to fit on I would not be cutting into a $2000 housing alone... Instead I would build or have one built

Are you referring to the brackets that attach to the axle? Like the TB bracket and what not?

Guess I'm just wanting to know if I can continue using the drop brackets and stock arms? Or do I have to get adj control arms?

Yes I am talking about the brackets attached to the axle. As the other poster stated, the drop brackets mount to the frame and have nothing to with the new axle. By cutting, I meant cutting the brackets to fit, not the axle. if you want to keep all the geometry exactly the same as stock, then get the standard model. The unlimited model has built in caster and pinion angle adjustments.

If you get the standard model and not the unlimited then you can use the stock arms. This is what my friend is doing. If you get the unlimited, you would need adjustable control arms.

You can also order your PR44 through AEV and get all the correct AEV brackets.
