OME or TF for a 2"-2.5" Suspension Lift?
I have a TF 2.5" lift and am very happy with it, and its my daily driver. I know guys who run OME and are just as happy.
I would not go light duty though; you will want to add bumpers at some point.

I have a heavy duty OME, pull a pop-up, so it's great for me. I guess it depends on what you want to do, like for instance pull a trailer like we do. I chose the OME HD because of the trailer, it says 2" lift but I gained atleast 3-3 1/2 with the lift. I can run 37"s but am buying 35's. The HD is a great lift, rides good you will feel the bumps in the road though. The HD is rated for 600lbs in the rear with 300lb in the front. Either way light/med/heavy OME is the way to go IMO.
I'm biased, but did a lot of research on this very topic. I ended up with the OME LT kit. I asked (Dave @ Northridge) "Why the OME over the TF" because they sell both and he told me it was because I had told him most of my travel was not offroad and that I wanted to keep the stock ride as much as possible. The OME lift has a better onroad ride than the TF.
I've never owned the TF lift so I can't compare, but I did value his opinion.
Give Dave a call at Northridge, tell him what you are wanting and ask questions. He'll have answers and so far hasn't minded me calling and asking questions. He sold me the HD coils because I want to go to 35's after my 33's wear out. If I was gonna stick to 33's I would have gotten the light duty coils.
